Boca Paddle by CityPickle has set its grand opening for Nov. 18. The 100,000-square-foot club at 50 W. Jeffery St., minutes from downtown Boca Raton, has 25 courts: 19 for pickleball and six for padel, built from the ground up for the two sports. Presale membership pricing runs through Oct. 31.
The club broke ground on June 10, 2025. It is managed by CityPickle, the New York operator behind pickleball clubs in Times Square and at Wollman Rink in Central Park. Boca Raton is the company's first club in South Florida.
What is on the courts
The pickleball side has 14 indoor courts, four outdoor courts and one covered stadium court. The padel side has two indoor courts and four covered outdoor courts, which the club lists as high clearance. Every court has professional lighting, cushioned surfaces and sound attenuation, and PodPlay technology handles scoring and match replays.
Boca Paddle is also the home of the Palm Beach Royals, the newest team in Major League Pickleball, and members will see the pros through matches, exhibitions and events during the season.
Off the court
The restaurant and bar are run by Farmer's Table, the Boca Raton restaurant group, with a menu the club says is coming soon. The rest of the building holds a pro shop, a warm-up and recovery zone, locker rooms with showers, saunas and cold plunges, and a co-working space with phone booths.
Who is behind it
The managing partners are Brian Levine and Dr. Stewart Davis, both Boca Raton residents active in the local pickleball community. The partner list also includes Malcolm Butters of Butters Construction and Development, Mitchell Robbins of Farmer's Table, Bahram Akradi of Life Time, the owners of three Major League Pickleball teams, and five touring pros: Anna Bright, Ben Johns, JW Johnson, Jorja Johnson and Gabe Tardio.
The staff is already named. General manager Eric Levin comes from more than 25 years in golf and country club management, including The Dominion Club in Richmond, Virginia. Head pro Martin Emmrich is a former professional tennis player who reached No. 35 in the ATP doubles rankings, played Davis Cup for Germany and now competes on the PPA Tour. Director of programming Chase Mason has worked in pickleball and padel as a player, coach and club operator.
