The full U.S. team for next month's Billie Jean King Cup tie in Delray Beach is set, and Coco Gauff will not be the only Grand Slam champion on the court. The USTA named its five-player squad on Wednesday, Oct. 21: Gauff, 2025 Australian Open champion Madison Keys, Ann Li, Taylor Townsend and Nicole Melichar-Martinez will face Hungary at the Delray Beach Tennis Center on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 21 and 22.

Tickets are already on sale through Ticketmaster, with two-day packages starting at $50 and single-day seats starting at $35, according to the USTA.

Who is on the team

  • Coco Gauff, a Delray Beach native, two-time Grand Slam singles champion and No. 5 in the world in singles
  • Madison Keys, the 2025 Australian Open singles champion, ranked No. 21
  • Ann Li, ranked No. 25 in singles
  • Taylor Townsend, a four-time Grand Slam doubles champion and No. 2 in the world in doubles
  • Nicole Melichar-Martinez, No. 9 in the world in doubles

The captain is Lindsay Davenport, the International Tennis Hall of Famer who led the U.S. to the Billie Jean King Cup final in 2025.

What the weekend decides

The Billie Jean King Cup, called the Fed Cup until 2020, is the top international team competition in women's tennis. This tie is a Playoff: the winner moves back into the Qualifying pool and keeps a path open to compete for the 2027 title. It is a best-of-five series, and the first country to win three matches takes it.

  • Saturday, Nov. 21: two singles matches between each country's top two nominated players
  • Sunday, Nov. 22: a doubles match, then up to two more singles matches

Play starts at 1:30 p.m. both days. If one country clinches early, the USTA says the Sunday schedule may change.

Delray Beach's record

The U.S. Billie Jean King Cup team has played at the Delray Beach Tennis Center four times and won all four, according to the USTA. The most recent was in 2023, when Gauff and Jessica Pegula led a sweep of Austria in front of crowds the USTA describes as near sellouts. The Palm Beach County Sports Commission counts this November tie as the fifth time the city has hosted the competition.

The city has a recent track record with the men's side too. Delray Beach hosted a Davis Cup qualifier between the U.S. and Czechia last September, and the USTA says that weekend brought more than $2 million into the local economy. The bid to bring this tie to town was a joint effort of the Sports Commission, the City of Delray Beach and the USTA.
