The car show that drew more than 500 people and over 100 exotic cars to Aventura during Formula 1 weekend in May is coming back in a bigger format. DRIVEN Concours, presented by duPont REGISTRY, takes over The Abbey at Aventura on Saturday, Nov. 14, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The first edition, on May 2, ran as DRIVEN Cars & Coffee. The second drops the cars-and-coffee label and becomes a full-day concours: a curated showcase built around the design, craftsmanship and stories behind each car. Organizers say it is meant for collectors, dealers, enthusiasts and families, and for people who have never been to a concours.

What happened in May

The spring show was put on by Turnberry Associates and duPont REGISTRY Group. According to duPont REGISTRY, more than 500 guests came and more than 100 exotic and high-performance cars were on display, spreading from The Abbey into the mall itself.

Three cars stood out in the organizers' account. Czinger Miami unveiled the Czinger 21C VMax. Gunther Werks Miami showed Alchemy, a Porsche with color-shifting paint. And a Lamborghini Revuelto in Blu Cepheus made 1,001 combined horsepower from its V12 and hybrid system, with a Lamborghini Temerario parked nearby.

What changes in November

The new version runs for six hours and adds VIP hospitality, cocktails and live entertainment around the show field. Ten food and drink partners are signed on, among them Jarana Aventura, The Amalfi Llama, Tap 42, Toku and North Italia, and six vendors from The Abbey Collective Market will sell items such as pottery and food tastings.

Aventura Mall lists DRIVEN Concours on its own events page, and The Abbey is the part of the mall where the show sets up.

Showing a car

Owners who want a spot on the field can submit their car through the entry form on the DRIVEN site. Organizers say selected entrants will be notified by Saturday, Nov. 7, and that submitting a car does not guarantee a place.

Tickets are reserved through the DRIVEN website, which still marks ticketing as coming soon. Prices have not been posted yet, so check drivenaventura.com before planning the day.
