Empire Steak House, the Manhattan steakhouse run by brothers Jeff, Jack and Russ Sinanaj, is preparing to open in downtown Delray Beach at 432 E. Atlantic Ave. The restaurant announced the move on Oct. 23 and lists its Delray Beach opening as coming soon, without a date yet.

The space is the former home of CUT 432 Steakhouse.

Who the Sinanaj brothers are

The three brothers started their careers as waiters at Peter Luger Steak House in Brooklyn and spent several years there before going out on their own. Jack Sinanaj is the restaurant's co-founder. Between them, the family has more than 21 years in the restaurant business, according to the announcement, and its restaurant group says its team brings more than 40 years of combined fine-dining experience.

Their company, ESH Restaurant Group, runs Empire Steak House on East 50th Street in Midtown East and on West 54th Street, plus a Times Square location, along with Empire Steak House restaurants in Tokyo and Hawaii and a burger concept, Empire Burger House. The group's current list of restaurants includes no location in Florida, which makes Delray Beach its first in the state.

What the other rooms look like

Each Empire location has its own setting. The 54th Street restaurant, in the Theater District just off Broadway, combines a bar, a lounge, a dining room and an event space. The Tokyo restaurant is in Roppongi, designed around 1920s New York with crystal chandeliers. The Honolulu restaurant, the group's newest before Delray Beach, sits on the top floor of the Ilikai Hotel, looking out over the city's coastline. Across the group, the menus center on USDA prime steaks, fresh seafood and a list of wines and spirits.

What will be on the menu

The announcement describes a menu built around premium steaks and porterhouse cuts, fresh seafood and fine wines, served in the traditional New York steakhouse style the brothers learned in Brooklyn. The group describes its Midtown East flagship as theatrical in layout, with an opulent interior suited to special dinners, business meetings and nights out with friends.

The Delray Beach menu, hours, seating and reservation details had not been published as of Oct. 24.

Empire Steak House has not set an opening date. The restaurant group posts its locations and reservations at eshrestaurantgroup.com, and private event inquiries for its New York restaurants go through empiresteakhousenyc.com. The Delray Beach restaurant will be at 432 E. Atlantic Ave., Delray Beach, FL 33483.
