Florida Atlantic football gets a national prime-time audience this week. The Owls host UTSA on Thursday, Nov. 5, at 7:30 p.m. at Flagler Credit Union Stadium in Boca Raton, and ESPN carries the game.

FAU's athletics department has stacked the night with extras for anyone in the building: a pregame concert, two beer gardens, $1 hot dogs, an LED light show in the seating bowl and a $200 cash prize for every Owls touchdown.

What is on the line

FAU comes in at 5-3 overall and 2-2 in the American Conference and has not lost at home this season. One more win makes the Owls bowl eligible. UTSA arrives at 7-1 and 4-0, tied for first place in the conference.

The evening, hour by hour

3:30 p.m. Parking lots open for tailgating.

5 p.m. Publix Paradise Plaza opens outside the Baptist Health Gates 1 and 2, with bars, food trucks, kids' inflatables from Flagler Credit Union, games and giveaways.

5:30 p.m. Icons of Pop, a tribute band covering Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga, plays the Owls Pregame Live concert in the plaza.

7 p.m. Beer gardens open inside the stadium, under the palms by the Howard Schnellenberger statue (inside Gates 1 and 2) and inside Gates 3 and 4. They stay open through the end of the first quarter, with $5 imported and domestic canned beers, $5 Good Days seltzers, $3 waters and a $6 hot dog and beer combo.

7:30 p.m. Kickoff.

Inside the stadium

Hot dogs sell for $1 throughout the game, while supplies last, at the Paradise Pricing stands on the first level, the Hyundai Deck bar on the second level and from roaming vendors.

New LED lighting in the seating bowl will flash during player introductions and scoring plays and will be synced to music. Free Defend Paradise rally towels go to fans at Gates 1 through 4 while they last.

Flagler Credit Union is giving away $200 for every FAU touchdown. Fans enter through a QR code posted in Publix Paradise Plaza and around the stadium, and winners must be in attendance.

For FAU students

Students get in free with a claimed student ticket. The first 500 through Gate 5 receive a paradise-themed T-shirt, free pizza is handed out at entry while it lasts, and a DJ will play from inside the student section before and during the game.

Tickets and getting there
