Jupiter Medical Center Foundation raised more than $102 million in fiscal year 2026, the largest total in its history. The figure, announced Nov. 3, covers gifts made between Oct. 1, 2025, and Sept. 30, 2026, and came from more than 2,300 donors.

For a sense of scale: in 2016 the foundation announced that it had raised $41.8 million in a single year, which was a record at the time. This year's total is roughly two and a half times that. The foundation says giving has risen 61 percent over the past three years.

Where the money goes

Jupiter Medical Center is an independent, not-for-profit health system built around a 340-bed hospital on the north end of Palm Beach County. The foundation says this year's gifts are paying for physician recruitment, new technology, expanded specialty services, research and future buildings.

The specialties it names include cancer care, heart and vascular care, urology, gastroenterology, pulmonology, neurosciences, orthopedics, and women's and infants' services.

Several of the buildings already on campus carry donor names: the Anderson Family Cancer Institute, the Robson Heart and Vascular Institute, the Johnny and Terry Gray Surgical Institute and the 92-bed Tim and Jayne Donahue Patient Care Tower.

A $35 million gift, then $35 million more

In January 2026 the foundation announced a $35 million donation from Tim and Jayne Donahue toward the Patient Care Tower. According to the foundation, the community answered within 90 days with another $35 million in new pledges, larger existing pledges and gifts from first-time donors.

What is coming next

The record year feeds Jupiter Medical Center's $500 million Generational Health campaign. The campaign has passed $293 million and, the foundation says, is on pace to finish a full year ahead of schedule.

Two projects are next on the list. The medical center plans to open a second hospital in Avenir, the new community in western Palm Beach Gardens, in early 2028. It also expects to break ground soon on an expansion of the Margaret W. Niedland Breast Center, adding room for advanced imaging.

The hospital's president and CEO, Dr. Amit Rastogi, has led the organization since 2019. In the announcement he described a shift in which patients who once traveled to the Northeast for specialized care now come south to Jupiter for it.

How to take part

Jupiter Medical Center Foundation takes one-time, annual, tribute and planned gifts through its website, jmcfoundation.org, where donors can direct a gift to a specific area such as cancer care, heart and vascular care, emergency services or the Niedland Breast Center expansion. The foundation's calendar also lists its fundraising events, including the Black-Tie Ball, the Charity Golf Classic and the Sporting Clays Classic.
