Lake Worth Beach has put its whole year of city events on the calendar, and the dates run from a Halloween truck-or-treat on Oct. 30 to the Fourth of July at Bryant Park. In between sit eight Friday bonfires on the beach, six sunset nights on Lake Avenue, the holiday parade and the Street Painting Festival, which lands on Feb. 27 and 28, 2027.
Why the full list matters now
Most of what makes Lake Worth Beach feel like a small town happens on a handful of nights a year, and those nights tend to fill up fast: parking near the beach, a spot on the Lake Avenue curb for the parade, a table downtown before the street painters start. The city released the 2026-27 schedule in one go, which means residents can plan the season now instead of finding out about each event a week ahead. The first one is barely two weeks away.
Fall: costumes, veterans and the first lights
The season opens with Little Scream Truck-or-Treat on Friday, Oct. 30, at 6 p.m. in Bryant Park, the city park at Lake Avenue and Golfview Road on the Intracoastal Waterway. Families are invited to come in costume for an evening of Halloween activities, and the truck-or-treat format is a lot easier on small legs than a neighborhood loop. The waterfront setting makes it one of the prettier Halloween evenings in Palm Beach County.
Bryant Park hosts again on Wednesday, Nov. 11, at 5 p.m. for the city's Veterans Day Celebration. It falls on a weeknight, and it is worth bringing kids to, since it is one of the few times a year the city gathers to thank the people who served.
The holiday stretch starts on Monday, Nov. 30, at 6:30 p.m., when the city lights its tree at the Cultural Plaza, 414 Lake Ave., next to the City Hall Annex in the heart of downtown. Five days later, on Saturday, Dec. 5, at 6 p.m., the Holiday Parade rolls through downtown Lake Worth Beach. This is the parade's 60th year, and it is the one night of the season when the whole city seems to line the street at once.
Winter: eight Fridays around the fire
The bonfire series is the part of this calendar locals will circle first. The city lights the fires on select Friday evenings at the Lake Worth Beach Casino and Beach Complex, 10 S. Ocean Blvd., starting at 6 p.m. This season has eight of them:
- Nov. 6 and Nov. 20
- Dec. 4 and Dec. 18
- Jan. 8 and Jan. 22
- Feb. 5 and Feb. 19
Two a month, every other Friday, from early November through mid-February: that rhythm is the real gift here. A beach bonfire is the kind of thing people mean to do and never get around to, and a fixed schedule turns it into a habit. Pick one before the holidays and one after, bring a chair and something warm, and get there early enough to park near the Casino.
The Street Painting Festival moves to the last weekend of February
The Lake Worth Beach Street Painting Festival returns on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 27 and 28, 2027, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days, with downtown streets turned into a chalk canvas. The 32nd edition ran Feb. 21 and 22 of this year, so the 2027 festival sits a week later on the calendar than residents might expect. Anyone planning a February trip, or a visit from family who always ask about the chalk festival, should adjust accordingly.
The festival site already has a countdown running, but most of the details are still to come. Artist registration for 2027 is listed as coming soon, and the music lineup, parking plan and road closures will be posted closer to the weekend. For residents who want to put chalk on the pavement themselves, the takeaway is to watch for that registration window rather than wait until January.
Spring and summer: sunsets, eggs and the Fourth
Sunset on the Avenue is the city's evening series in the Cultural Plaza, built around music, the end of the day and neighbors running into each other on Lake Avenue. Each one starts at 7 p.m., and there are six on the schedule: Jan. 16, March 5, April 17, May 7, June 5 and Aug. 20. Because they are spread across the year, they work well as a standing excuse to have dinner downtown and stay for the music.
The Easter Egg Hunt is set for Saturday, March 27, at 10 a.m. in Bryant Park, and the year closes where it began. The city's 4th of July Celebration falls on a Sunday in 2027 and starts at 6 p.m. at Bryant Park, on the water where Lake Avenue meets the Intracoastal.
How to use this calendar
The simplest move is to put the whole list in a phone calendar tonight, especially the eight bonfire Fridays and the Street Painting weekend, since those are the dates people most often hear about after the fact. The city says it will post schedules and updates for each event on its social media channels and at lakeworthbeachfl.gov as each date gets closer, so check there for any changes before heading out.
For anyone who lives here, the point of having the whole year laid out is that it makes Lake Worth Beach's best nights easy to find: the waterfront at Bryant Park for the holidays that bookend the year, the Casino for the fires, Lake Avenue for the parade, the sunsets and the chalk. Most weeks between now and February, there is a reason to be downtown or on the sand, and now there is a list.
