For three nights in November, Mutra at 2188 NE 123rd St. in North Miami will share its kitchen with Assaf Granit, the Israeli chef behind Shabour in Paris. Mutra's chef, Raz Shabtai, is hosting the dinners on Nov. 4, 5 and 7, 2026, and the restaurant has built a separate booking page for them that bills them as three nights built around one shared story. Seats are paid in advance and start at $200 a guest.

Two kitchens that both hold a Michelin star

Both restaurants carry one Michelin star. The Michelin Guide lists Mutra in North Miami as a Middle Eastern and Israeli restaurant with one star, and describes it as the world's first kosher restaurant to earn one. Mutra's own FAQ answers the kosher question with a flat yes, and notes that the bar skips spirits in favor of an all-kosher wine list and beer.

Shabour, at 19 rue Saint-Sauveur in Paris's 2nd arrondissement, also holds one Michelin star. The guide credits Granit with about a dozen restaurants in Jerusalem and London and notes that he hosts the Israeli television version of Kitchen Nightmares. Mutra's booking page describes the pair as two Michelin-starred chefs shaped by Jerusalem, and says the dinners will trace the path from their roots to the chefs they are now.

Two formats: a night market and a 16-seat counter

Wednesday, Nov. 4 and Thursday, Nov. 5 are set up as a Jerusalem Night Market dinner party with an 8-course tasting menu. Guests choose between tables and the bar, and dinner runs from 6 to 10 p.m. Tables are $200 a guest for parties of two to six. Bar seats are $250 a guest for parties of one to four. Parties of up to two get 1 hour 45 minutes at their seats, and parties of three or more get two hours.

Saturday, Nov. 7 is a smaller night. Only 16 guests sit at the chef's counter for a 12-course tour of Jerusalem, with seatings at 7 and 10 p.m. The counter is listed from $1,500, and guests pick their own stools on a seating plan when they book. Saturday is a rare night to eat here at all: Mutra's regular schedule serves dinner Sunday through Thursday only.

Drinks are not included in any of the prices unless you add the wine pairing at checkout. Everyone choosing the pairing must be 21 or older and bring ID.

About Mutra

Shabtai named the restaurant for his grandmother, whose cooking he watched from the kitchen counter as a boy in Jerusalem. He worked his way through every job in a restaurant, from dishwasher to line cook to bartender, before senior kitchen roles in Israel and New York, and he moved to Miami as a private chef before opening Mutra. The room is built around a long chef's counter, with walls lined in jars of colorful pickled vegetables.

The regular menu changes often and draws on local farms. Current dishes include beets prepared three ways with ajo blanco and almond crumble, a maitake mushroom steak over polenta sauce, chicken satay with grilled lettuce and tahini, and Kubaneh bread with tomato foam and olives.

Book early, and read the fine print

All tickets are bought ahead of time through Mutra's booking page and paid in full on Square's checkout page. Once you pick a time, your seats are held for 15 minutes while you pay. Tickets are non-refundable, so check your calendar before you buy. The booking form also asks about allergies and dietary needs for everyone in your party.

Mutra is cashless and adults only, and it asks guests to dress smart casual: no beachwear, athletic clothes or flip-flops.
