Plantation's free outdoor concert series, Rock the Park, returns to Pine Island Park on Friday, Nov. 6, and the City of Plantation has now published the full 2026-27 lineup: seven nights of live music running from November through May, with food trucks on site before every show and no admission charge.
The season is presented by the City of Plantation and Baptist Health. Each concert follows the same schedule: food trucks open at 6 p.m., and the music begins at 7 p.m. Every show is at Pine Island Park, 320 S. Pine Island Road.
The opener: PUMP on Friday, Nov. 6
The season starts with PUMP, which the city bills as a pop rock party band. Mayor Nick Sortal's Oct. 7 update to residents named the Nov. 6 show as the series kickoff and repeated the timing: trucks at 6 p.m., band at 7 p.m.
Nov. 6 is the first of two shows before the end of the year. The second, on Friday, Dec. 4, pairs two tribute acts on one bill: These Dreams, a tribute to Heart, and All Fired Up, a tribute to Pat Benatar.
The full 2026-27 Rock the Park schedule
Here is every date on the city's published schedule, with each act as the city describes it:
- Friday, Nov. 6, 2026: PUMP, pop rock party band
- Friday, Dec. 4, 2026: These Dreams and All Fired Up, tributes to Heart and Pat Benatar
- Saturday, Jan. 2, 2027: The Wicked Molly, classic rock
- Saturday, Feb. 6, 2027: Los Wizzards, a pop, funk and Latin uptempo band
- Saturday, March 6, 2027: Jimmy Stowe & the Stowaways with special guest Dave McKenny, a tribute to Jimmy Buffett and American folk rock
- April 3, 2027: Jeffrey James Gang, classic rock, Southern rock and country
- Friday, May 7, 2027: Vinyl Highway, classic hits from the 1970s, 1980s and later
One note on the calendar: the city's flyer lists the Jeffrey James Gang show as Friday, April 3, but April 3, 2027 falls on a Saturday. Residents planning around that night can confirm the date with the city at 954-452-2510 closer to spring.
Fridays and Saturdays
The season is split between the two weekend nights. The November, December and May shows are on Fridays. The January, February and March shows are on Saturdays, which puts the Jan. 2 concert on the first weekend of the new year, the day after New Year's Day.
The genres move around from month to month as well. The lineup runs from a party cover band in the fall to a double bill of Heart and Pat Benatar tributes in December, classic rock to open 2027, a Latin and funk band in February, a Jimmy Buffett tribute in March, a classic, Southern rock and country set in April, and a 70s and 80s hits band to close the season in May.
