Boynton Beach now has its own Sushi Sake. The Miami born sushi chain has posted a Boynton Beach location at 1500 Gateway Boulevard, inside Compson Place at Renaissance Commons, the dining and shopping center at the corner of Congress Avenue and Gateway Boulevard. The restaurant's own location page now lists full operating hours and online ordering.

For a lot of Palm Beach County diners, the headline is the clock. Sushi Sake Boynton Beach lists hours of 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday, and 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Thursday through Saturday. In a city where most kitchens on Congress Avenue go dark well before midnight, a full sushi menu at 1 a.m. on a Friday is a genuinely new option.

A familiar name, finally in Boynton

If you have lived in South Florida for any stretch of time, you have probably eaten at a Sushi Sake somewhere else. Brothers James and Argelio Aguayo Jr. opened the first one in 2009 in the Miami suburb they grew up in, with the idea of bringing quality, late night Asian dining to a neighborhood that did not have it. The company now counts more than 30 locations across the state, and it has been growing as a franchise.

Until now, Boynton Beach residents who wanted that particular menu had to drive. The chain created its Boynton Beach page back in March 2025, when the location was still a promise. That page was updated on October 5, 2026, and now carries the address and a full weekly schedule instead of a placeholder.

What is on the menu

Sushi Sake leans playful rather than precious. The brand calls itself a neighborhood sushi bar, and its menu reflects that: rolls, sashimi, hibachi and teriyaki plates, homemade sauces and a list of sakes. A few house signatures show up on nearly every regular's order:

  • Pineapple Fried Rice, the chain's best known dish, a Florida spin on a Japanese staple.
  • The Miami Heat roll, built with shrimp tempura, cream cheese and crab salad, then topped with baked salmon, spicy mayo and eel sauce.
  • The Bobby Salad, a mix of spicy tuna, avocado and crab salad finished with sesame seeds and masago.

The company also points to its use of Certified Angus Beef on the hibachi and teriyaki side, which matters if someone at the table is not a raw fish person. Lunch and dinner menus are both available for takeout and delivery through the chain's online ordering system, so the new location also widens the delivery map for neighborhoods around Renaissance Commons, Quantum Park and the Gateway Boulevard corridor.

Where exactly to find it

Compson Place sits on the northwest side of Boynton Beach, at Congress Avenue and Gateway Boulevard, a short drive north of the Boynton Beach Boulevard shopping district and just west of Interstate 95. The center is managed by Stiles Property Management and lists its address as 1500 Gateway Boulevard, the same address Sushi Sake gives for its new restaurant.

The center's own dining directory still labels Sushi Sake as coming soon, which is a sign of how recently it arrived. It joins a lineup that already includes Bonefish Grill, First Watch, Hurricane Grill and Wings, Field of Greens, Lemongrass Asian Bistro, Orion Fresh Mediterranean, Pizza Rox, Ramen Labs Eatery, Sabor Latino and a Starbucks. That is a lot of choice in one parking lot, and it makes Compson Place an easy default when a group cannot agree on dinner.

A late night pocket on Congress Avenue

Sushi Sake is not the only kitchen at Compson Place keeping late hours. Cluck N Smash, the Nashville hot chicken and smash burger spot at 1880 N. Congress Avenue, Suite 108, lists hours of 10:30 a.m. to 2 a.m. every day of the week. Its menu centers on hand breaded hot chicken made to order, smash burgers, wings, sliders, loaded fries, coleslaw and milkshakes, with takeout, delivery and catering available.

Put the two together and the corner of Congress and Gateway quietly becomes one of the few places in central Palm Beach County where you can sit down for a real meal after the movies, after a late shift, or after a night out in downtown Delray or West Palm Beach on the drive home.

Something else on the calendar

If you want a daytime reason to check out the center, Compson Place is hosting a Pumpkin Patch Pop Up on Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 9 a.m. to noon on the outdoor patio at 1880 N. Congress Avenue, next to First Watch. Families can pick out pumpkins and have artists personalize them with a name or monogram, and all proceeds from pumpkin sales go to Cason United Methodist Church. It is an easy way to scout the new sushi spot for a future date night while the kids pick a pumpkin.

What it means for Boynton Beach

A new restaurant from a chain with more than 30 locations is not exotic. What makes this one worth noticing is what it fills in. Boynton Beach has spent the last few years adding apartments and residents around Renaissance Commons and along Gateway Boulevard, and the dining options nearby have not always kept pace with the number of people who now live within a few minutes' drive. A recognizable sushi menu, a full bar and a Thursday through Saturday kitchen that runs until 2 a.m. give that part of the city something it was missing: a dependable late night table close to home.

Before you go, check the hours on the Sushi Sake Boynton Beach page, since newly opened locations sometimes adjust their schedules in the first few weeks. Then bring a friend who has only ever ordered the pineapple fried rice in Miami, and let them try it in Boynton.
