Lake Worth Beach's run-up to Halloween ends in Bryant Park on Friday, Oct. 30, when the city's Little Scream Trunk-or-Treat opens its 2026-27 events season. Before that comes a three-band show at Propaganda tonight, a free afternoon of jazz at the city library on Sunday and the judging of the city's yard decorating contest. Here is the week, with the details that come from the venues and the city.

Wednesday, Oct. 21: The Planet Smashers at Propaganda

Propaganda, the music bar at 6 S. J St., has The Planet Smashers on its stage tonight, with ¡Fuákata! and More Better Band on the same bill. The show is for ages 18 and up, and tickets are sold through Limitless Agency and TicketWeb, which carry the price and door time. Propaganda keeps its regular Karaoke Tuesday too, with happy hour from 8 to 10 p.m. and singing from 9 p.m. for ages 21 and up.

Sunday, Oct. 25: Jazz Jam at the library

The Lake Worth Beach City Library at 15 N. M St. hosts its monthly Jazz Jam Session with Neil Bacher and Friends from 1 to 4 p.m. The city's listing points visitors to the Lucerne Avenue door. The jam comes back on Sundays through the winter, with the next sessions on Nov. 22, Dec. 13, Jan. 10 and Feb. 7. Questions go to the library at 561-533-7353.

Monday, Oct. 26: the yard contest judges go out

The city's Halloween Yard Decorating Contest is open to homes in the 33460 and 33461 ZIP codes, and its judges tour the entries after dark, when the displays are lit. Registration closed on Oct. 19, so the week's part for everyone else is the results: the winners are announced at Little Scream four days later.

Friday, Oct. 30: Little Scream Trunk-or-Treat

The city's family Halloween night runs from 6 to 9 p.m. at Bryant Park, 100 S. Golfview Rd. Local vehicles line up with their trunks open and kids go car to car in costume collecting candy. It is free to attend, and the city is still taking applications from drivers who want to hand out candy from a trunk and from sponsors; the special events team takes those at 561-533-7395 or [email protected].

Little Scream is the first event on the city's 2026-27 schedule. Next on that list are a Veterans Day celebration on Wednesday, Nov. 11, at 5 p.m. in Bryant Park and the tree lighting on Monday, Nov. 30, at 6:30 p.m. in Cultural Plaza.

Saturday, Oct. 31: Halloween at Propaganda

For adults, Propaganda's Halloween Night Party starts at 8 p.m. with a KISS, Misfits and Ramones theme, a costume contest and free Jell-O shots. It is for ages 21 and up, and the cover is $10 in costume or $15 without.
