North Miami's Vegan Creole Festival comes back to Griffing Park this Saturday, Oct. 24, for its second year: an evening of plant-based Haitian Creole food, wellness activities and neighbors, free to anyone who signs up.
The festival runs from 4 to 10 p.m. at Griffing Park, 12220 Griffing Blvd., North Miami. Admission is free, and the city asks people to register through its Eventbrite page.
What it is
The City of North Miami presents the festival as a celebration of Haitian Creole culture through plant-based food, wellness and community.
The city launched the festival last year. A city announcement dated Oct. 7, 2025, introduced the inaugural Vegan Creole Festival for Oct. 25, 2025, at the same park. This Saturday is the second edition.
What last year looked like
The city has not posted this year's full lineup. Its 2025 announcement gives a sense of the format: vegan tacos, plant-based burgers and vegan Creole dishes; a DJ, a live band and Creole drumming groups; bounce houses, face painting and storytelling for kids; and free health screenings from the MJD Wellness and Community Center. Those were last year's features, and the city's 2026 listings describe the same mix of food, wellness and community without naming vendors.
Part of a week of city events
This year's festival is one of the events District 3 Councilwoman Mary Estimé-Irvin has organized for Florida City Government Week, which North Miami is marking from Oct. 19 to 25. The city's Government Week page lists the festival among that week's programs.
Getting there
Griffing Park is at 12220 Griffing Blvd. in North Miami. The festival runs from late afternoon until 10 p.m., and the city's 2025 lineup included activities for children.
