Bazaar Meat by José Andrés is now open inside the Andaz Miami Beach Resort & Spa at 4041 Collins Avenue. José Andrés Group announced the opening on its own site, describing the restaurant as a steakhouse built around large cuts of meat cooked over open flame, with the kitchen and its fire at the center of the room.
The restaurant joins two other José Andrés Group venues already operating at the same resort, which makes the Andaz the group's base on Miami Beach. The group also says the new room picks up where The Bazaar's earlier run in Miami left off.
What is on the menu
According to the resort's dining page, the menu is built around premium Wagyu and large-format cuts that cook over open flame in view of the dining room. Alongside the steaks are modern tapas, seafood, vegetable dishes and reworked classics. José Andrés Group's announcement singles out the farm vegetables as dishes in their own right and lists the group's own version of a Cubano among the plates.
Part of the meal happens at the table. Hyatt's description of the restaurant lists tableside presentations and an interactive build-your-own martini service among the things guests can expect, along with a full cocktail list.
Prices for the Miami Beach menu were not posted on the restaurant's or the resort's pages at the time of writing.
Three José Andrés rooms under one roof
Bazaar Meat is the third José Andrés Group venue listed on the Andaz Miami Beach dining page:
- Aguasal is the resort's Mediterranean restaurant, with a menu the resort says draws on coastal cooking from Miami to Mallorca and on Florida produce and seafood.
- Bar Centro serves coffee, fresh juices and croissants in the morning and turns into a cocktail bar with shareable tapas at night.
- Bazaar Meat is the steakhouse, open for dinner.
The resort also runs a pool and beach bar, Soleo, between its two pools.
Where else Bazaar Meat operates
The Bazaar's own site lists Bazaar Meat locations in Chicago, Las Vegas, New York City and Washington, D.C., with Miami Beach now added to that list. The same company runs Bazaar Mar in Las Vegas and Bar Mar in Chicago and Nashville.
The Andaz dining page describes José Andrés, whose company runs all three of the resort's restaurants, as a Michelin-starred chef.
