Downtown Boynton Beach has free live music on Friday, November 6, a themed Sunday market on November 8, and the Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge west of town waives its entrance fee on Wednesday, November 11, for Veterans Day. Here is what is on the calendar from November 6 through 13, with times, costs and how to sign up.

First Friday @ 5 closes out its 2026 season tonight

The City of Boynton Beach runs its First Friday concert series on the first Friday of each month from January through November, which makes Friday, November 6, the final First Friday of the year. The evening runs from 5 to 9 p.m. in downtown Boynton Beach, at SE First Avenue and SE First Street, and the city lists it as free. Each night pairs a live band with food vendors, art and family activities.

The city organizes the series, and its listed contact for First Friday questions is 561-742-6494.

A Sweet Corn and Fall Harvest market on Sunday

The Good Day Market sets up its Boynton Beach Community Farmers Market at 129 E. Ocean Ave., in the downtown block near City Hall and the Centennial Park amphitheater, every other Sunday this fall. The November 8 edition carries a Sweet Corn and Fall Harvest theme and runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Admission is free. The vendor mix rotates from market to market and draws from local makers, specialty food and drink, boutique retail, vintage goods, handmade items, plants and wellness brands. Leashed, well-behaved dogs are welcome. Free parking is on Boynton Beach Boulevard: follow the A-frame sign to the market lot and use only the marked spaces.

If you miss this one, the last date of the fall run is Sunday, November 22, with an Autumn Brunch theme.

Free entry at the refuge on Veterans Day

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service waives entrance fees at its fee-charging lands on Wednesday, November 11, from 7 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. That includes the Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge, whose visitor center and headquarters entrance is at 10216 Lee Road in Boynton Beach. On a regular day the refuge charges $10 per vehicle for a daily pass, and visitors on foot, bicycle or horseback always enter free. The waiver covers the entrance fee only, not extra charges for activities such as hunting, fishing or special tours.

From the headquarters area you can walk the Cypress Swamp Boardwalk, a loop of a little under half a mile, or the Marsh Trail, a loop just under a mile. The headquarters area is open from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, and the visitor center is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The refuge also has guided programs through the week, all free with a valid entrance pass:

  • Tram tours at 10 a.m. on November 7, 9, 10, 11 and 12, and at 1 p.m. on November 6, 7 and 13. Each tram seats up to eight people.
  • A Sunrise Photo Tram Tour on Saturday, November 7, starting 15 minutes after sunrise at the Marsh Trail pavilion, limited to eight people. Registration is required.
  • A Sunrise Photo Walking Tour on Sunday, November 8, covering one to two miles over about two hours. Registration is required.
  • A Peaceful Nature Walk of about an hour at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 12, from the visitor center.

To reserve any of these, call the visitor center at 561-734-8303.
