Wellington's calendar for the coming week runs from a magic show over dinner on Saturday, November 7, to a Veterans Day parade down Forest Hill Boulevard on Wednesday, November 11, with a free tribute concert at the Wellington Amphitheater on Thursday, November 12 and a youth soccer sign-up window in between. Most of it is free, and nearly all of it happens within a few hundred yards of Village Hall at 12300 Forest Hill Boulevard.
Saturday, November 7: a magic dinner in the Grande Ballroom
The Village of Wellington is replacing its former Murder Mystery Dinner Theater with a new evening called The Mystery Behind the Magic. It runs from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Grande Ballroom at the Wellington Community Center, 12150 Forest Hill Boulevard, which the village describes as newly renovated.
The headliner is David Frost, a magician and mentalist with more than 20 years of performing experience internationally. His act mixes sleight of hand, mind reading, psychological illusion and modern technology, and guests may be pulled into the show. The night opens with a cocktail reception and hors d'oeuvres overlooking the Town Center, followed by a three-course banquet dinner.
- Tickets: $60 per person, sold through the village's online recreation catalog
- Ages: 21 and older
- Dress: formal attire suggested

Veterans are invited to walk in the parade.
The ceremony begins at 8:30 a.m. at the memorial, with remarks from the Village Council and the placing of memorial wreaths. Active duty and retired veterans can sign in that morning at the Wellington tent, and their names will be read during the ceremony. The event is free. Thursday, November 12: Heart tribute at Thursday Nights in Wellington

One more for the weekend after: on Saturday, November 14, the Weekend Concert Series brings The Long Run, an Eagles tribute band, to the same stage. Food trucks open at 6 p.m., the band plays at 7:30 p.m., and admission is free.
