A New York steakhouse group is moving onto Atlantic Avenue. Empire Steak House announced on Oct. 23 that it is preparing to open at 432 East Atlantic Avenue in downtown Delray Beach, in the space that was home to CUT 432 Steakhouse.

The restaurant has not announced an opening date. Its announcement lists the Delray Beach location as coming soon.

Who is behind it

Empire Steak House is run by three brothers, Jeff, Jack and Russ Sinanaj. According to the company, their careers in hospitality started as waiters at Peter Luger Steak House in Brooklyn. The brothers say they have spent more than 21 years in the family-owned restaurant business since then, and they went on to found their own steakhouse group.

Today the group runs three Empire Steak House locations in Manhattan: Midtown East on East 50th Street, Midtown West on West 54th Street, and Times Square on West 49th Street. It has also expanded overseas and west, with a restaurant in the Roppongi neighborhood of Tokyo and one on the 30th floor of 1777 Ala Moana Boulevard in Honolulu. None of its current locations is in Florida, which makes Delray Beach the group's first restaurant in the state.

What is on the menu

The company describes its menu as built around USDA Prime steaks, including porterhouse cuts, along with fresh seafood and a wine and scotch list. Its New York restaurants run a butcher shop and offer online ordering and private events, and the group's announcement for Delray Beach points prospective hosts to its private events booking page.

The company has not yet published a Delray Beach menu, hours or prices.

The address

432 East Atlantic Avenue is in the heart of downtown Delray Beach, east of Swinton Avenue on the way to the beach. The space was previously CUT 432 Steakhouse, so the new tenant keeps the address a steakhouse.

What to watch for

Empire Steak House takes reservations for its existing locations through its website, and the Delray Beach restaurant is expected to be added there once it opens. Until a date is announced, the company's website and its private events page are the places to check for news.
