The waterfront theater on Royal Poinciana Way in Palm Beach has lined up a season of talks to run beside its concerts and comedy nights. Glazer Hall's speaker series starts Tuesday, Nov. 10, and runs through April 14, 2027, with a lunch about the woman who built Mar-a-Lago, an interview with a royal biographer who met Queen Elizabeth II at least 40 times, a cookbook dinner tied to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, and three original cast members of Twin Peaks on one stage.

The room

Glazer Hall is a nonprofit performing arts venue at 70 Royal Poinciana Way. Its 400-seat theater sits on the site John Volk designed in 1958 as the Royal Poinciana Playhouse, and the rebuilt hall has retractable seating, a 40-foot movie screen and a back wall of glass that looks out on the Intracoastal Waterway.

November: Mar-a-Lago and a royal visit

The talks start with Cathedral Canyon on Nov. 10, a film screening followed by a question-and-answer session. On Monday, Nov. 16, author and historian Richard Rene Silvin gives a lunch talk on Marjorie Merriweather Post, the daughter of C.W. Post who built Mar-a-Lago and ran what became General Foods. Doors open at 11:30 a.m., lunch is at noon, and the program runs about 90 minutes. Glazer Hall lists the ticket at $175, which includes the talk, a light lunch and a glass of wine or a nonalcoholic drink.

Two weeks later, on Monday, Nov. 30, Silvin interviews Hugo Vickers, the British biographer whose life of Queen Elizabeth II draws on six decades of research. The hall's listing says Vickers first went to Buckingham Palace on a research visit in 1972, at age 20, and met the Queen at least 40 times between 1968 and 2022. That lunch follows the same 11:30 a.m. doors, noon lunch format.

A meal from the book and a signed copy are part of every ticket.
  • Monday, Jan. 25: Silvin on Princess Grace.

February: Twin Peaks on stage

On Sunday, Feb. 21, at 7 p.m., Glazer Hall hosts Twin Peaks: A Conversation with the Stars. The listing names Ray Wise, who played Leland Palmer, Michael Horse, who played Deputy Tommy Hawk, and Dana Ashbrook, who played Bobby Briggs, along with Sabrina S. Sutherland, executive producer of Twin Peaks: The Return, and moderator Josh Eisenstadt. The hall says it is the first time this cast and crew panel has been staged in the United States. The evening is presented by arrangement with Paramount, ends with a tribute to David Lynch, and includes a VIP meet-and-greet cocktail party. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with early access for members at 6 p.m.

The rest of the late season includes Marlene Strauss on Helena Rubinstein (Feb. 3), author Zibby Owens (Feb. 8), Silvin on Elizabeth Taylor (March 8), and Jack Carr and James M. Scott on their book about Pan Am Flight 103 (April 14).
