Charlie & Joe's at Love Street is setting up a farmers market on its Jupiter Inlet waterfront this Saturday, November 7. Heart & Harvest runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in The Heart, the open waterfront space at the center of the Love Street property, with local vendors selling fresh goods to take home.

What Heart & Harvest Is

Heart & Harvest is a farmers market format: local vendors gather along the water, and shoppers walk the setup, browse and buy. The event listing on the Love Street website describes it as a market in The Heart with fresh goods for sale and views across the inlet while you shop. The vendor lineup is not posted on the event page, so to see who is selling, stop by during the three-hour window or follow Charlie & Joe's at Love Street on its Facebook and Instagram pages, where the property posts its events.

Love Street lists Heart & Harvest among its Activities & Happenings for the fall season, alongside a holiday boat parade watch party at Lucky Shuck, Thanksgiving at Love Street and weekly programs such as Yoga Sundays at Topside.

A Discount at the Restaurants All Day

The market comes with a dining offer. According to the event page, shoppers get 10% off at Lucky Shuck, Topside or The Beacon all day on November 7, which makes it easy to turn a market run into lunch or an early dinner without leaving the property.

Here is what each of the three restaurants serves, based on their own websites:

  • Lucky Shuck is an oyster bar and taphouse with a raw bar, seafood from local fishermen, 20 beers on tap plus more than two dozen bottled and canned selections from Southeastern breweries, and cocktails modeled on the pre-Prohibition era. Its indoor and outdoor space looks out over the inlet along the Riverwalk.
  • The Beacon is an American restaurant on the inlet with seasonal menus built around local seafood, Italian-influenced dishes, options from the land, craft cocktails and a regional wine list.
  • Topside is the rooftop tapas bar at The Beacon, serving coastal Italian small plates with local seafood, craft cocktails and inlet views.

About Love Street

Charlie & Joe's at Love Street was founded by Charlie Modica and Joe Namath, two Jupiter area locals, and is managed by Lessing's Hospitality Group. The property sits on ground that was once a marina, boat ramp and bait shop, including the Barden Boating Center. Its stated aim is to bring back the waterfront pastimes that used to happen there and to showcase Jupiter's fishing roots.

Part of that is a restored 13-slip dock used by Jupiter's commercial fishermen. Love Street's own dock page introduces Jim Dulin, a Jupiter native and commercial fisherman known as Reef Rat Jim, who has worked from that dock for 25 years and keeps his boat, the Reef Rat, there. The restaurants feature local catch daily, with Dulin offering them first pick of what he brings in. Lighthouse Promenade connects the property to the Riverwalk, and The Heart, where Saturday's market sets up, is the open space by the water where people gather to watch the sunset.

A farmers market fits that picture: a morning of local food and goods sold right next to working fishing boats, on a stretch of waterfront the founders set out to open back up to the community.
