Atlantic Avenue has another store on the way. Johnnie-O, the lifestyle clothing brand, lists a Delray Beach store as coming soon at 321 East Atlantic Avenue, in the heart of downtown.
The company has not announced an opening date. Its store directory shows the address with no hours or phone number yet, which is how the brand lists a shop that is still being built out.
Where it will be
The 300 block of East Atlantic Avenue sits east of Swinton Avenue and west of the Intracoastal Waterway bridge, in the downtown run of shops and restaurants between Old School Square and the beach.
Palm Beach County's second Johnnie-O
Delray Beach will be the brand's second store in the county. Johnnie-O already has a shop at CityPlace in West Palm Beach, at 700 South Rosemary Avenue. Its other Florida stores are on Fifth Avenue South in Naples, on Grand Boulevard in Miramar Beach and at Watersound Town Center, the last two in the Panhandle.
The company's directory lists 26 stores in 15 states, from Westport, Connecticut, to Newport Beach, California. Delray Beach and a store at The Domain in Austin, Texas, are the two marked as coming soon. The brand describes its shops as a meeting of East Coast and West Coast style.
It is hiring
Johnnie-O is already staffing the Delray Beach store. Its careers page lists six openings there: a store manager, an assistant store manager, and full-time and part-time positions for sales advisors and sales leads. Candidates apply through the company's careers site.
What to watch for
Until a date is posted, the brand's store directory is the place to check. When the listing changes from coming soon to open, it will carry the store's hours and phone number. Anyone who wants a job there can apply now on the Johnnie-O careers page.
