La Pecora Bianca, the Italian restaurant group known in Manhattan for its rigatoni vodka, has added a ninth address to its list, and it is the first one outside New York City. The new restaurant is at The Shops at Merrick Park in Coral Gables, at 360 San Lorenzo Ave., Suite 1430, and the brand's site now takes Coral Gables reservations alongside its eight Manhattan dining rooms.

From Manhattan to San Lorenzo Avenue

The group's other locations are all in Manhattan: Nomad, Midtown, SoHo, Bryant Park, the Upper West Side, the Upper East Side, the Theater District and Lincoln Square. Coral Gables is the only one listed outside the city. La Pecora Bianca describes itself as a relaxed, all-day Italian restaurant built around local, seasonal cooking, with pasta made in house every day and a drinks list that leans on the aperitivo hour.

What is on the Coral Gables menu

The Coral Gables dinner menu carries the house pastas, with gluten-free pasta available on request. A few of the posted prices:

  • Truffle arancini, $21
  • Linguine vongole, $29
  • Chicken Parmesan, $36
  • New York strip, $52, and filet mignon, $58
  • Lobster spaghetti fra diavolo with a whole two-pound lobster, $90
  • Tiramisu for two, $19, and olive oil cake, $13

The bar runs Spritz and Negroni menus, zero-proof drinks and a wine list heavy on Italian reds, including Barolo and Brunello. The group also pours its own organic rosé, La Pecora Rosa.

Happy hour and Thanksgiving

Happy hour runs Monday through Friday from 3 to 6 p.m., in the bar area only, with snacks at $8, pizzas at $12, beers at $5, select cocktails at $10 and select wines by the glass at $8.

For Thanksgiving, the Coral Gables menu lists a three-course prix fixe at $65 a person.
