The 2026 Miami Book Fair runs November 15 through 22 at Miami Dade College's Wolfson Campus in downtown Miami, opening with a free block party on Sunday, November 15, and closing with a three-day Street Fair from Friday, November 20, through Sunday, November 22. The Friday of the Street Fair is free for everyone.
The Fair has been held every November since 1984, and it is presented by Miami Dade College. It brings hundreds of authors downtown for readings and conversations in English, Spanish and Haitian Creole, with programming for children, teens and adults.
Opening Day Block Party, November 15
The week begins with a free, all-ages Opening Day Block Party on the Wolfson Campus from 4 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, November 15. This year's theme, Made in Miami: Through the Decades, traces the city's dance music history from Cuban classics and early disco through freestyle, Miami bass, electro and house.
DJ and producer Oscar G headlines the lineup, joined by DJs Ciro Llerena, Lazaro Casanova, Jesse Perez and Pack-a-Day, along with a live percussion and vocal set from Oba Frank Lords. Food and drinks are being organized by Smorgasburg Miami.
The same afternoon, several free author conversations are on the schedule, including talks with Zibby Owens, Santiago Roncagliolo, and poets Willie Perdomo and Mayra Santos-Febres.
A Family Event the Day Before
On Saturday, November 14, Miami Dade College's Koubek Center hosts Picnic de Libros, a free bilingual afternoon for children and families from 2 to 5 p.m. It includes a puppet workshop led by Colombian actress Danly Arango, storytelling, dance classes, a food truck and picnic baskets filled with books. Admission and valet parking are free, and the Fair asks families to RSVP through the event page.
Street Fair Hours and Tickets
The Street Fair fills the streets around the campus with booksellers, food and music. Gates open at 9 a.m. each day. Hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, November 20, and Saturday, November 21, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, November 22.
Friday is free for all visitors. For Saturday or Sunday, single-day tickets bought online are $12 for adults, $7 for seniors over 62 and $5 for teens ages 13 to 18. Multi-day tickets are $18 for adults, $12 for seniors and $8 for teens. Children 12 and under get in free, as do Miami Dade College students, faculty and staff with a valid ID.
Evening author events and some headline conversations are ticketed separately, while many daytime sessions are free. Authors listed on the Fair's site this year include Tayari Jones, Bonnie Garmus, Marlon James, Brad Thor, Victoria Aveyard and actor Tony Shalhoub. The full schedule and a downloadable Fair guide are on the 2026 events page.
