The Miami Short Film Festival returns Friday, Nov. 13, through Sunday, Nov. 15, with nine screening programs over three days at three venues: O Cinema South Beach for opening night, Silverspot Cinema in Downtown Miami for most of the weekend, and two evening programs at the Deering Estate.
Each program is a block of short films grouped around a theme, drawn from the festival's 2026 official selection of international and local submissions, with tickets sold program by program through the festival's website.
Friday: opening night in South Beach
The festival opens Friday, Nov. 13, at 8 p.m. at O Cinema South Beach with Echoes We Carry, the opening night program. Among the films listed for the night is Insalvable, directed by Javier Marco of Spain.
Saturday: four programs, two venues
Saturday, Nov. 14, moves the festival downtown. At Silverspot Cinema, A World After screens at 3 p.m., with Let It Be by Lithuanian director Egor Yatsenko on the program. Time Will Tell follows at 6 p.m., featuring Time Space Love by Marie-Louise Gariépy of Canada, and Between Light and Reality closes the downtown night at 8 p.m. with Land of Cold by Hervé Demers, also of Canada.
The same evening, at 7 p.m., the program States of Becoming screens at the Deering Estate. The Oracle, directed by JJ Adler of the United States, is listed with it.
Sunday: a local program and a closing night at the Deering Estate
Sunday, Nov. 15, opens at 3 p.m. at Silverspot with A Local Vision, which includes Black Wedding: A Serbian Folktale by Jessica Bachman. The Invisible Within follows at 6 p.m. with Kippur by Uriya Hertz, an Israel and United States production, and The Edge of Innocence screens at 8 p.m. with Poor Me by Norwegian director Liv Joelle Barbosa Blad.
The weekend ends at the Deering Estate at 7 p.m. with Wild at Heart, a program the festival describes as films about rebellion, identity, community and the strange forces that shape the places people call home. Its lineup includes Big Bad Yucky Monster, a 7-minute narrative short by Nicole Lipp set at a suburban pool party, and ¡Que Suene La Banda! by Jorge Parra Jr.
