A medical practice that has grown from West Palm Beach to 17 markets around the country has opened its flagship at home. PRM, short for Pelvic Rehabilitation Medicine, has moved into a new West Palm Beach Center of Excellence at 560 Village Blvd., Suite 340, which doubles as the training center for its physicians nationwide. The clinic is taking new patients now, and PRM holds a grand opening there on Thursday, Nov. 12.

What PRM treats

PRM is a physician practice built around persistent pelvic and abdominal pain, a group of conditions that includes endometriosis, fibroids and related problems. Its care is multidisciplinary and leans on minimally invasive treatment, including an in-office procedure the practice developed itself, which it calls the PRM Protocol.

The practice was founded in 2017 by Dr. Allyson Augusta Shrikhande, its chief medical officer, and Gautam Shrikhande, its chief executive. Its national headquarters has been in West Palm Beach from the start, and it now operates in 17 markets.

A clinic and a classroom

The new space has two jobs. It is PRM's West Palm Beach clinic, seeing local patients, and it is the hub where the practice trains its providers from around the country and works on new approaches to care. PRM describes it as its national flagship.

The Nov. 12 grand opening

The opening runs from 4 to 7 p.m. and is free, but space is limited and guests are asked to register in advance through the Eventbrite link in PRM's announcement. It is pitched mainly at local physicians, health care workers and community partners, and the program includes:

  • A panel of PRM providers and patients on pelvic pain, multidisciplinary care and women's health
  • Guided tours of the new office
  • A reception with drinks from 215 Speakeasy and small plates from Brie and Bloom Grazing Tables
  • Raffle baskets from local businesses, including Dyandra Pilates

For patients

Patients do not need to wait for the event. The West Palm Beach clinic is accepting new patients, and appointments are requested through the form on PRM's website.
