  1. Readers nominate. Signed-in readers suggest one business per category.
  2. We check every finalist. Our team confirms each one is open and operating in South Florida before it goes on the ballot.
  3. Readers vote. One vote per category per reader. You can change your mind until voting closes.
  4. Winners are announced here and in The Weekly Wave, with the share of the vote each finalist earned.
